Original Hand Pan & Sitar Music - Soul Awakening

 Hello everyone!

So, I have been experimenting with a new instrument! The hand pan. It's like a xylophone and a drum combined into one, which is super neat. I do play the Darbuka drum and zills but I wanted something a little more exotic to experiment with. One day, I was looking for meditation music and the hand pan popped up. I knew that I wanted to get a xylophone but this was even better! Now I can combine guitar and hand pan and a plethora of other instruments. This is the first track I've made with it and it combines me playing the hand pan with digital sitar. I hope you enjoy!

Figure Skating Leg Warmers Tutorial

 Hello everyone!

 Today I wanted to share with you how to make figure skating leg warmers from old sweaters! I love creating my own costume pieces and fashion accessories so I decided to do some leg warmers for when I am on the ice. I feel that I practice better when I like my outfit! :)

A summary of the video below:

Step 1 - Find an old sweater you like from Goodwill.

Step 2 - Cut the sleeves off with fabric scissors.

Step 3 - No sewing to create a clean seam! Use Crafter's Pick fabric glue from Hobby Lobby. (Seriously, this is a miracle glue and I will praise it forever.) 

Step 4 - Fold seam over so it sticks together and pin with sewing pins.

Step 5 - Let dry 24 hours.

Mermaid Art - Mixed Media Art of the Sielke

 Hello everyone!

 

Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite art subjects, Mermaids! I've always been interested in stories about them, watching movies about them, and listening to music that creates that ethereal ambiance of an underwater kingdom. In addition to that, ever since I can remember I've loved painting them as part of my art portfolio. 

I've done several different styles of Mermaid art, from digital to traditional painting. Currently, I have a work in progress in my living room. I steal time to dab some paint on canvas whenever I can. I find that doing just a little at a time and coming back to it gives me the ability to see a new perspective or just a renewed sense of the aesthetic I am contemplating.
